USF - NAVY INSTANT REACTION

Written by Ian Gibson / November 15, 2025

In the biggest game of the season, and for the program, once again the defense failed to show up when it mattered most. The rushing attack was near unstoppable from Navy as USF linebackers continuously bit and were out of position leading to several explosive plays.

The defense did the worst thing possible and fell right into Navy's gameplan, where even on pass plays, the Bulls were constantly caught off guard.

The slow start from the offense necessitating a furious comeback did not help matters. Brown was able to carry the offense responsible for two passing and two rushing touchdowns.

Just like the Memphis loss earlier, USF has let a golden opportunity to seize control of the conference slip through their fingers. And will once again be needing help to make their first conference championship appearance. Their 2nd conference loss let's Tulane and North Texas jump ahead of them, whose remaining schedules consist of teams either at .500 or with a losing record. Navy will play Memphis next week and the only chance USF has is if Memphis defeats Navy, and Tulane is upset once again.

USF was given a miracle lifeline gaining control again of the conference after the loss to Memphis. Unfortunately it seems this team has wasted that chance. As another opportunity seems unlikely, the Bulls once again seemed to have cracked the golden egg and will miss out on their first conference championship appearance.
